The client is an international organization dealing with the financial industry having their headquarters in NY. The application was an inventory control and work order management system covering hubs, switches, and cables.

SRA was involved in the migration of the existing system from Websphere on Solaris to the target environment - Oracle on zLinux.

The scope included conversion of the applications (from Powerbuilder to J2EE), data cleansing and migration. The new system was designed as an add-on to an existing cable management system that was already developed using J2EE but working under Oracle. Changes required to the existing system were confined to migration of the underlying database.
